The superior inlay arrangement of the stones of the Blue Gem turquoise, Coral, Mother of Pearl and Jet will take your breath away! Charles M. Booqua, often collaborating with his wife Marlene, is a distinguished Zuni silversmith born in 1944. Together, they are renowned for their intricate multi-stone inlay jewelry, a hallmark of Zuni craftsmanship. Their pieces often feature geometric designs meticulously crafted from materials such as turquoise, coral, jet, yellow shell, and mother of pearl. Their creations are typically signed with the hallmark "C.M. Booqua," signifying authenticity and origin. Charles and Marlene Booqua's jewelry is highly valued by collectors and enthusiasts of Native American art. Their dedication to preserving and innovating traditional Zuni inlay techniques has solidified their reputation as master artisans, contributing significantly to the rich cultural heritage of the Zuni Pueblo.
