Journal français de tranchée L’Horizon de Mars 1918, Journal lancé en juillet 1917 et qui paraît jusqu'en mai 1919.

C'est un journal de tranchées plus officiel que d'autres : son rédacteur en chef, le capitaine David Strohl, journaliste de profession, est un vétéran des journaux de tranchées : il a déjà collaboré au Petit colonial, fondé dès octobre 1914, et a été le rédacteur en chef du Poilu.
En 1917, affecté à l'état-major de la IVe armée, il est encouragé par le général Henri Gouraud, qui affectionne les petites feuilles du front, à en créer une nouvelle. Gouraud lui donne des moyens : impression professionnelle dans une imprimerie de Chalons sur Marne ; tirage à 20 000 exemplaires ; autorisation de se servir des transports automobiles pour la diffusion…
Le titre choisi par le fondateur de ce journal reflète-t-il l'humeur de l'été 1917 sur le front français ? Le beau temps revenu laisse entrevoir aux poilus un peu de ciel bleu, bleu horizon, couleur de l'uniforme français.
C’est ce que qu’exprime également la petite phrase de l’en-tête : « Notre pensée aussi est couleur d’horizon », tout comme le frontispice dessiné par le peintre, graveur et illustrateur Bernard Naudin. Déposés sur le sol, les éléments de l’équipement du soldat français (casque Adrian, musette, baïonnette et gourde), semblent annoncer l’horizon victorieux de la fin de la guerre.
