One Of The Most Unique Vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace
This is a breathtaking Navajo outstanding inlaid silver necklace being one of the most rare and intricately inlaid necklaces we have ever collected. Just look at the phenomenal workmanship that is stiutated throughout the entire piece. This piece contains 7 outstanding silver pendants with the largest bottom pendant measuring around 2-3/8" X 2-1/8". Situated on each of the pendants are completely marvelous and intricate inlaid patterns that consist of jewelry pieces Native Americans create. The jewelry inlaid patterns inlcude jacla style earrings, turquoise slab earrings, a bolo tie, turquoise and silver bracelets, all silver cuff bracelets, squash blossom necklaces and the bottom inlaid pendant containing a Native man working on superior silver concho belt. The inlay on the necklace includes onyx, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, silver, coral, mother of pearl, lapis, denim lapis, pipestone and tan shell. The workmanship is absolutely astonishing on this necklace, just mind blowing and is one of the most spectacular inlaid pieces I have ever seen. Surrounding each silver pendant are thick silver ropes. Resting throughout the rest of the necklace are beautiful round silver beads with a tradiitonal silver clasp. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1990's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Cal Desson. The length of the necklace measures around 25". Sturdy 163 grams.
