We are excited to auction off this lovely vintage Zuni bracelet! It features a Blue Gem turquosie needlepoint heart, hand carved silver rope, silver beads, and a graduated double rail silver cuff! This bracelet was definitely made with love!
The Blue Gem turquoise mine stands as a revered source of one of the most captivating varieties of turquoise found in the American Southwest. Situated in the famous Royston mining district in Nevada, this historic mine has garnered immense recognition for its exceptional quality and striking coloration. The Blue Gem turquoise is renowned for its rich, deep blue hues, often adorned with unique spiderweb matrix patterns that make each stone a one-of-a-kind treasure. For centuries, Native American tribes, particularly the Navajo and Pueblo, have held this gemstone in high regard, incorporating it into their intricate jewelry designs and traditional crafts. Though the mine's production has fluctuated over the years, the allure of Blue Gem turquoise remains undiminished, perpetuating its legacy as a cherished symbol of cultural heritage and beauty of the American Southwest. The stones measure around 1/4" x 1/16". The width of the bracelet measures around 1-3/4". Signed by Zuni artist, D. Etsate. Sterling silver. The inside end to end measures around 5-3/8" with an additional 1-3/8" gap. Sturdy 26 grams.
