Important Vintage Native American Navajo Trcaey Turquoise Inlay Sterling Silver Necklace
This is an exceptional vintage Navajo inlaid silver pendant necklace possibly handmade by the famous artist, Ray Tracey. Ray Tracey is a multiple award winner and his workmanship is absolutely spectacular. This remarkable necklace contains a bottom very unique shaped inlaid silver pendant that measures around 2-7/8" X 1-1/8" including the large silver bail. The stamp works on the pendant consist of swirling stems, mounatin patterns and plant works with a center hand pattern. The inlay on this necklace consists of spiderweb turquoise, red spiny oyster, purple spiny oyster and orange spiny oyster shells. I absolutely love how long this necklace is. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Ray Tracey. The length of the necklace measures around 36". Sturdy 54 grams.
