Up for sale is this mesmerizing vintage Navajo bracelet! It features a large Royston turquoise stone surrounded by a border of hand carved silver leaves, silver beads, and silver stems, all on a double rail silver cuff that graduates to a solid silver cuff! A gorgeous design!
The Royston turquoise mine, located in the rugged hills of Esmeralda County, Nevada, is renowned for producing some of the most diverse and sought-after varieties of turquoise in the world. This historic mine has been in operation since the early 1900s and has garnered a reputation for its exceptional range of colors and distinctive matrix patterns. Royston turquoise can exhibit shades ranging from vibrant blues and greens to deeper, earthier tones, often interwoven with intricate brown or golden matrix, creating a visually captivating effect. Mined from a series of interconnected pits and tunnels, the Royston deposit is known for its relative hardness, making it highly suitable for intricate lapidary work.
