Native American Best Vintage Navaj Eagle Hand Carved Turquoise Sterling Silver Bolo Tie
This is a superlative vintage Navajo turquoise eagle silver bolo being one of the finest bolos we have collected this year. The hand carved turquoise eagle appears to be from the marvelous Number 8 turquoise mine and amazingly measures a whopping 2-3/8" X 2" X 1/2", WOW! The detailing of the eagle is just impeccable and consists of so much intricacy and carvings. The eye of the eagle is inlaid with yellow shell. Surrounding the eagle are amazing large hand carved silver leaves, stems and raindrops. The entire bolo measures a phenomenal 3" X 3". What makes this bolo even more unique are the fascinating hand carved turquoise eagles that also rest at the bottom of each long silver pin. Dangling from the pins are impressive look alike hand carved eagles such as the one of the bolo with each turquoise measuring around 3/4" X 1" X 1/4". The total length of the black leather tie measures around 42". Signed by Navajo artist, JS. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1960's+. Sturdy 128 grams.
