This is an exceptional vintage Navajo large chunky hand carved turquoise pendant silver necklace. This remarkable necklace was handmade by the famous artist, Ben Begaye who is known for his impeccable workmanship. This fabulous necklace consists of a very large hand carved thick chunky Royston turquoise bird pendant that measures a whopping 3" X 1-1/4" X 1/2" and consists of amazing inlaid coral eyes and nose. The rest of the pendant includes a beautiful dangling silver section that contains flowers, shells, swirling stems and raindrops. The entire pendant including the fascinating large stamped silver bail measures a beautiful 3-3/4" long. The rest of the necklace is comprised of extremely thick and long silver links with a sturdy traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver, marked. Signed by Navajo artist, Ben Begaye .
