Up for sale is this superior Navajo silver ring. This is such a cool ring! It's got so many wonderful characteristics that come together beautifully to create this incredible look! The darker, textured wide band has deep curved carvings all around and is the perfect backdrop for the beautiful, thick silver flower whose center is the bright round Coral stone that uniquely sets closer to the one edge of the ring as the band gently tapers to the back. Darryl Dean Begay is a prominent Navajo artist known for his exceptional work in contemporary Native American jewelry, particularly in the art of tufa casting. He has garnered recognition for his innovative designs that blend traditional Navajo techniques with modern aesthetics. Begay specializes in tufa casting, a traditional Navajo technique that involves carving designs into tufa stone (a type of compressed volcanic ash) and pouring molten silver into the mold. This method allows for intricate and detailed designs, often resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces. Begay has received numerous awards and accolades for his work, including prestigious honors from Native American art shows and competitions. His pieces are highly sought after by collectors and have been exhibited in various galleries and museums. The ring face measures around 7/8" x 5/8". Signed by Navajo artist, Darryl Dean Begay.
