This is a magnificent vintage Navajo very unique Yei Bi Chei style silver squash blossom necklace. This remarkable necklace contains 13 outstanding large very detailed graduating silver Yei Bi Chei pendants. The smallest Yei pendants measure around 3/4" X 3/4" while the largest bottom silver Yei Bi Chei pendant measures a whopping 2-1/4" X 2-1/4". The detailing on the pendants is absolutely phenomenal and so remarkable. Situated throughout the necklace are impressive handmade round silver beads with a traditional silver clasp and old natural patina. A Navajo Yei Bi Chei necklace is a traditional piece of jewelry created by Navajo artisans. The Yei Bi Chei are spiritual figures in Navajo culture, representing deities or supernatural beings that play a significant role in healing ceremonies and rituals. The Yei Bi Chei are believed to bring blessings, protection, and good fortune to those who wear or possess their image. Navajo Yei Bi Chei necklaces typically feature a central pendant in the shape of the Yei Bi Chei figure. The pendant is often crafted from silver and adorned with intricate stampwork, turquoise stones, and other decorative elements. The design may vary, but it typically depicts a dancing figure with outstretched arms and legs, wearing a headdress and adorned with symbols representing rain, corn, and other elements of Navajo mythology.
