Outstanding Vintage Native American Hopi Sterling Silver Signed Bolo Tie
Here we have an astounding vintage Hopi silver bolo. The trapezoid shaped bolo is a unique spiderweb - with the spider at home in the middle! The bolo is created with the marvelous overlay technique. The bolo has a black braided tie with 1-3/4" silver tips and is about 38" in length. Cyrus Josytewa is a distinguished Hopi silversmith celebrated for his mastery of the overlay technique, a hallmark of Hopi jewelry craftsmanship. This intricate method involves layering sterling silver to create detailed, multi-dimensional designs that often depict cultural symbols and motifs significant to the Hopi heritage. Josytewa's dedication to preserving and innovating within the Hopi silversmithing tradition has earned him recognition among collectors and enthusiasts.
