This is an impressive vintage Santo Domingo very long lapis, coral, turquoise and shell necklace. This museum quality necklace contains such beautiful color as it consists of a mind blowing plethora of stones and shells. The stones and shells consist of corals, Royston turquoise, Blue Gem turquoise, lapis, spiny oyster and tan shells. The stones and shells that rest throughout the beautifully hand cut tan shell heishi are wonderfully square shaped besides the turquoise stones giving the necklace even more character. Situated at the bottom of the necklace is a phenomenal two strand chunky lapis jacla pendant with accenting Royston turquoise stones and spiny oyster shells. Situated at the top are large silver cones with a traditional silver clasp. I just love the intricacy and detailing in this necklace, so beautiful. Sterling silver. The length of the necklace measures around 40". Sturdy 199 grams.
