Le Caudron G.4 est un avion militaire de la Première Guerre mondiale.

Les G.4 et les R.11 (1918) furent les seuls bimoteurs français de la guerre. Les pertes subies par un groupe de G.4 au cours d'un bombardement diurne sur la Rhénanie, en novembre 1915, firent reléguer cet avion dans les missions de reconnaissance.

En février 1916 débute la terrible et sanglante bataille de Verdun. Si l’affrontement fut tellement mortel pour les fantassins, les premiers mois de la bataille virent la suprématie des bombardiers G-4, et parfois des versions de réglages de tirs, sur les troupes du Kaiser. Néanmoins à partir de septembre 1916 l’arrivée de chasseurs allemands comme le Fokker E.III allait sonner le glas des bombardiers G-4 sur le front de Verdun. Nombres d’entre eux allaient tomber sous les balles des mitrailleuses de ces chasseurs monoplans. Il fut utilisé par les Français, les Anglais et les Italiens, surtout dans les Alpes.
