This is a fascinating vintage Navajo turquoise silver squash blossom necklace. This wonderful necklace contains 11 outstanding oval shaped Dry Creek turquoise stones. Dry Creek Turquoise Mine is a historic turquoise mine located in Lander County, Nevada, USA. The mine is known for producing some of the rarest and most sought-after turquoise in the world, characterized by its pale blue to blue-green color with no visible matrix. Dry Creek turquoise is highly prized by collectors and jewelry designers due to its unique color and lack of matrix, which allows the natural beauty of the stone to shine through. However, due to the limited production and high demand, Dry Creek turquoise can be quite expensive. In recent years, the supply of Dry Creek turquoise has become increasingly limited as the mine has become depleted. Nonetheless, the mine remains an important part of the history of turquoise mining in the United States. Surrounding each of the stones on the 10 silver squashes are amazing silver works including raindrops, ropes and shells. Such beautiful workmanship on this squash blossom necklace. Resting at the bottom of the necklace is a triple shank silver naja pendant with an accenting Dry Creek turquoise stone. The naja pendant measures around 2-1/4" X 1-3/4". Resting throughout the rest of the necklace are wonderful round silver beads with a traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century . The length of the necklace measures around 30".
