This is an exceptional vintage Navajo inlaid silver necklace. This impeccable necklace contains three outstanding inlaid sections that include stones and shells. Two of the inlaid sections are rectangular shaped while the third is oval shaped. The stones and shells are in channeled sections and consist of spiny oyster, sugulite, lapis, coral, onyx and turquoise. Surrounding the bottom oval shaped silver pendant are amazing silver channel works and measures around 1-7/8" X 1-1/2". I love how the oval shaped inlaid section is situated in a shadowbox setting. Running up the necklace are 6 impeccable oval shaped silver sections that include diamond works and dotted works. I absolutely love the detailing of this phneomenal necklace. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Albert Platero. The length of the necklace measures around 29". Sturdy 78 grams.
