Important Vintage Native American Navajo Ray Tracey Sterling Silver Inlay Necklace
This is a magnificent vintage Navajo inlaid silver necklace handmade by the famous artist, Ray Tracey. This impeccable necklace contains a bottom inlaid 3D cube shaped silver pendant that includes mother of pearl, sugulite, and pink coral. The bottom inlaid pendant measures around 1-3/8" X 1-3/8" X 1/2". Situated up the necklace are 6 more cube shaped silver beads with accenting very large handmade large round silver beads. Located at the ends of the necklace are extremely long fluted silver cones with a traditional silver clasp. The unique beauty of this necklace as well as being handmade by Ray Tracey makes this necklace so remarkable and unique. Ray Tracey is a renowned Navajo artist known for his exceptional work in jewelry design. Born in 1954 in Gallup, New Mexico, Ray Tracey comes from a family with a rich heritage in Navajo jewelry making. He is of both Navajo and Zuni Pueblo descent, and his artistic abilities were nurtured by his parents and grandparents, who were skilled artisans themselves.
Tracey's unique style blends traditional Native American motifs with contemporary designs, creating pieces that are both culturally significant and visually striking.
